How to Order a Custom Inflatable Mascot Costume From China
Ordering a custom character from overseas feels risky the first time. This is the exact workflow we run with buyers in India, Nigeria, the UAE, Kenya, Brazil and Europe — what you send, what you approve, and when you pay.
Step 1 — Send your brief
- ◆A reference image, brand character sheet, or even a hand sketch.
- ◆Target height (most walking mascots are 2.0–2.6 m) and the wearer's height.
- ◆Brand colours (Pantone if you have them) and any logo placement.
- ◆Destination city and the date you need it on site.
Step 2 — Quote and design draft
You receive pricing within hours. For custom builds we prepare a coloured design draft showing proportions, colour placement and accessory details. Revisions at this stage are free — changes after cutting are not, so this is where to be picky.
Step 3 — Deposit and production
Production starts on deposit. Patterns are cut, panels printed or fur-laminated, then hand-sewn and assembled in our Ganzhou workshop. Standard lead time is 10–20 days depending on complexity and season; December and pre-festival periods run longer, so book early.
Step 4 — Quality check with photo and video proof
- ◆Full inflation test with the supplied blower and battery.
- ◆Colour comparison against the approved draft.
- ◆Seam and zipper inspection, blower runtime check.
- ◆Photos and a short video sent to you for sign-off before dispatch.
Step 5 — Shipping and customs
We ship by DHL/FedEx express, air freight or ocean freight depending on urgency and volume, and provide the commercial invoice, packing list and HS code your broker needs. For India and Nigeria we can quote door-to-door so you are not managing a local clearing agent yourself.
